We held our annual Halloween party for 2010 and as usual the unusual appeared on our call center floor! Turn out in costume is optional but many of the staff participated due to a Best Costume Contest! Telemarketing and frightful agents do actually mix as production only stopped for our normal 30 minute break and then back to work for our ghouls and goblins! Enjoy a couple of pictures and try to identify your agent!

Dear Valued Global Sky Customer,

As you may already know on Saturday July 31st, 10:30 AM PST the Raffles building where Global Sky offices are located, suffered a power outage. Apparently there was major damage to the transformers that feed electricity into the building and due to the timing of the damage – it was impossible for the building admin and the Meralco electricity company to get proper electrical personnel and materials to fix it in a timely manner. In addition – the flux in electricity also caused damage to the building electrical systems including the building’s back up generators.

We have encountered all kinds of adversities over a 6+ year period with only minutes of downtime. But because both our primary and back up power source failed at the building level, we experienced downtime unprecedented in our history as a company.

In our commitment to you our customer, rather than wait for the electricity company and building admin to fix the building main and back up power’s supply we took matters in our own hand and contracted an outside power generator supplier to supply us with two large diesel generators and run electricity directly to our office power grid. We were able to get this back up system online within a few hours of the initial power failure and resume operations through Sunday and well into Monday, when at 3:00 PM PST we were informed that normal power was restored and we could switch back to the main power with minimal downtime. Upon switching back to the main power source a switch was blown on the 14th floor, causing half of our operation to go down for approximately one hour before the switch could be replaced.

I am now happy to report that Global Sky operations has been fully restored!

While we can do our best to prepare for disaster sometimes the best we can do is in our RESPONSE to adversity. Many people here at Global Sky have stepped up during this time of challenge and deserve to be recognized for their unwavering commitment to restore Global Sky operations as quickly as possible. Though we might sacrifice money, lost sleep and missed meals our greatest priority is to ensure we did not let you down.

I am sorry for whatever inconvenience this downtime may have caused, you will of course be credited for any time that was down and I assure you that if our track record is any indication of what we can expect over the next 5 to 10 years– we should not see anything on this scale ever again. And if we do, this is one more thing we’ll be prepared for.

Best Regards,
James Stinson
CEO, Global Sky Inc.

June 16, 2010

Global Sky

Dear Friends:

I am writing to thank you for your recent support of Sustainable Harvest International
(SHI) through Eco-Libris. We acknowledge the receipt of funding from Eco-Libris on
6/15/10 for the planting of 143 trees on behalf of Global Sky. Your generosity allows us to
assist more than 2,100 families [including graduates] in over 150 struggling communities
in Central America. With your help, Sustainable Harvest International is able to provide
the long-term technical assistance necessary for farmers to successfully adopt practices that
have a lasting environmental, economic, and social impact. I was blessed to see this first-
hand again on a recent trip to Panama.

One example of this success is Luis Rodriguez, a Panamanian farmer [known as “Don
Pipo” by the locals] who has been working with Sustainable Harvest International (SHI)
for two years. He and his family are entering Phase II of working with SHI which focuses
on improved nutrition and agricultural production as well as the strengthening of
previously taught techniques.

Early on during his work with us, Don Pipo shared the following:

For me, working with Sustainable Harvest International is the best thing that could
have happened.

I feel so proud of having started to work with SHI, because in the middle of the dry
season I have different vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, chili peppers,
mustard, celery, onions, and green beans. It’s important to say that I’ve only
applied the organic fertilizers that we prepare ourselves. All my neighbors are so
surprised by my garden that they all want to be helped by SHI now. We’ve talked
with our field trainer, Diomedes, and he said that we will have another person very
soon to tend to new families.

I started a very small garden at my house, but now I have the one at my house as
well as a larger plot. I work alone with my daughter, and the two of us take turns
watering. We think that a part of this harvest will be for eating, and also for selling
– to get income for other things we need to buy. I hope to have a permanent crop
that will also generate some income, because it’s time that I have something

(continued on back)

permanent in my soil. Shaded coffee is one of my priorities for commercial
purposes.

Many thanks to the members of Sustainable Harvest International who are doing
great work with Panama from very far away and to the field trainers who work at
our side. I hope you will be able to provide assistance to more families, since we
all need this valuable knowledge in order to improve our lives and protect the
environment at the same time.

An update to Don Pipo’s story: With the recent installation of a hydraulic water pump,
Luis is able to harvest vegetables year-round. The family continues to be a good steward
of the environment while at the same time generating income by supplying organically
grown cassava, tomatoes, oranges, and string beans to a Community Supported Agriculture
(CSA) group. Imagine the difference we are making for the Rodriguez family and
thousands of others like them.

Again, I am truly and deeply thankful for your continued commitment to alleviating
poverty and restoring hope to impoverished Central American communities. Please
accept the enclosed page of photos as a small token of my gratitude.

Sincerely yours,

Florence Reed
President

P.S. Please let us know if you can think of anyone else who might like to hear about SHI’s
work. We would love to send them an introductory letter and information packet.

Overview:
IMPORTANT: Please note that some person or group is using Global Sky’s name to conduct a Western Union scam. This is not Global Sky, they are using our name.
How it works:
1) They send you a check
2) They tell you to cash it at bank and immediately evaluate a Western Union Outlet (by sending them funds)
3) After you send cash to Western Union the checks will bounce out of your account and you will owe your bank funds.

If you have received an email offering a job to work at Global Sky evaluating money services like Western Union do not participate. We have already notified proper authorities and have found they are using other company names (other call centers) as well.

The first email looks like this:

Subject: Hello – Reply asap ( Job Confirmation )

Hello,

How are you doing?

We got your mail with the application you sent to us. We have noted down the name and address. You have to make sure that you have the locations you will be evaluating ( Preferably a westernunion outlet). We will send you the evaluation Letter which will contain your payment and the money you will be using to carry out your evaluation on the store . We will notify you when the package is ready to be sent out to you and you will be given a Tracking number so you will be able to keep track of the envelope till it gets to you . Instructions on how you would carry out the evaluation would be sent to your email and be included in the evaluation letter

We want you to reply to this email immediately for confirmation and also send the name and address of the outlet you would be evaluating. We would expect a reply from you as a confirmation that you received the email.

We hope to read from you soon

Global Sky Green Initiative Exceeding its Goals

Las Vegas, NV, February 3, 2010,— Global Sky, a US and Philippines based call center, is pleased to announce it is exceeding its goal to plant more than 1,000 trees with Eco-Libris by the end of 2010. Global Sky’s initiative, launched on August 2009, to plant 1 tree for every call center seat filled has already resulted in more than 600 trees planted in developing countries.

Global Sky partnered back in 2009 with Eco-Libris, a green business that works to balance out the paper used for books by planting trees, as part of its efforts to positively impact the environment and to promote greater awareness among its clients of environmental issues.

The initiative with Eco-Libris is a continuation of Global Sky’s green initiative which features a 10% price discount for all clients who are undertaking similar environmentally focused efforts.

“It feels good knowing that long after we’re gone, the investments we make in mother Earth will keep on yielding,” says James Stinson, Global Sky’s CEO. “That kind of productivity is hard to measure.” James says with a grin.

“We are very impressed with the commitment of Global Sky and the progress they made so far to meet their initial goal of planting over 1,000 trees with us”, says Raz Godelnik, CEO of Eco-Libris. “We hope this will be another example of how you can do well by doing good, as Global Sky is building its reputation among clients as a socially-responsible company and a trusted partner.”

The trees planted on behalf of Global Sky are planted with Eco-Libris partners that work in collaboration with local communities in developing countries in Latin America and Africa, where deforestation is a crucial problem. Planting trees in these places not only helps to fight climate change and conserve soil and water, but also benefits many local people, for whom these trees offer many benefits, such as improvement of crops and additional food and income, and an opportunity for a better future.

Global Sky, Inc. is an award winning U.S. owned and managed high quality call center provider with 300 seats based in the Philippines. A Microsoft Approved Vendor and the Winner of 2 “Best of 118 Tracker” Awards, Global Sky counts among its clients Fortune 500 companies as well as progressive entrepreneurs and global executives.

Founded in 2007, Eco-Libris is a green company working to green up the book industry by promoting the adoption of green practices, balancing out books by planting trees, and supporting green books. To achieve these goals Eco-Libris is working with book readers, publishers, authors, bookstores and others in the book industry worldwide. So far Eco-Libris balanced out over 120,000 books, which results in more than 130,000 new trees.
